I was born to be a hairdresser, literally. I went through beauty school once while my mother was pregnant with me and the second time after college. I grew up in my grandmother' s "beauty parlor" in Chandler, Oklahoma on Route 66. I was trained as a barber at the Academy of Hair Design and while in school was recruited to teach hair color for Framesi USA. Assisting for the two premiere stylists in Oklahoma City prepared me for my next move to Phoenix where I worked at Cheveux Salon. I moved to Marin in 1991 and opened my first salon in San Rafael, Marin County, 3rd Generation, in 1993 and Peace, Love & Grilled Cheeses Hair Salon in 2000. I now have a Private Studio at 510 Red Hill Avenue in San Anselmo, California. I reckon I love what I do since I've been making people beautiful for over 30 years.
I offer over 30 years of experience in hair cuts with my focus in color and my specialty in natural blondes, color correction, gray coverage & transition from color to natural white hair. I am a master barber with extensive training and experience in women's short hair, bobs, men's haircuts and razor hair cutting.
I specialize in Hair Color Correction. Whether it is a mistake made at home or from another professional, I am expertly trained to correct the problem. I have been teaching hair color for over 30 years and it shows in the styles I have created for my clients. I continue my training throughout the year attending hair shows and classes. I am now offering Silent Haircuts. After your consultation, you can relax without small talk, only discussing questions about your haircut or hair color service. Sparkle Hair Tinsel is back and I am now offering Fairy Hair for all ages.
